Coley joined Davenport & Company in 1969. He held the role of President & CEO from 1986–2011. Under his leadership, the firm grew significantly. When his tenure began, Davenport had 99 employees, one branch office, and revenues were $9 million. Davenport now has more than 400 employees, 17 branch offices, and revenues over $100 million. Prior to his senior leadership roles, Coley held numerous positions in the firm, including running the “Back Office.”
Coley graduated from the University of Virginia in 1968 with a degree in economics. He currently serves on the boards of the Children’s Hospital Foundation and Mutual Assurance Society. He was the past chairman of the Country Club of Virginia and the Commonwealth Club. He is a past chair of the Mid-Atlantic Securities Industry Association, and served on the New York Stock Exchange Regional Firms Advisory Committee.
Senior Vice President - Investments

Ted joined Davenport & Company as a Senior Vice President–Investments in February 2007. He began his financial career as an equity analyst at Smith Barney in New York City in 1968. In 1972, he left Smith Barney to join the fledging investment advisory firm of Wheat First Securities where he served as Vice Chairman of the Advisory Group until the firm was acquired in 1998. In 1981, Ted became the Founder, President and lead portfolio manager of what was to become the $1.5 billion Evergreen Growth Fund until his departure in 2007.
Ted’s education background includes a BA in History from the University of Virginia and an MBA in Finance from The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Ted also served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. Ted is Trustee Emeritus of Saint Catherine’s School, former Chairman of the Sheltering Arms Hospital Foundation, former Trustee of Sheltering Arms Hospital, former Trustee of the Church School Board of the Diocese of Virginia, past president of the CSDV Foundation, and past president and Director Emeritus of the Virginia Squash Racquets Association.

Winston joined Davenport & Company in 1999 as a portfolio administrator and then served as Manager of Portfolio Services and Service Delivery Manager for Information Technology. He was instrumental in developing and implementing Davenport’s client performance reporting system and was also responsible for sourcing, evaluating and deploying the firm’s wealth management desktop system used by Davenport’s Investment Executives. In 2007, Winston joined his father, Ted Price, in establishing The Price Group of Davenport & Company.
Winston earned his BA in Economics and in Music from Denison University and earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING™ designation in the fall of 2010. Winston is the past President of the Virginia Squash Racquets Association, a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and past member of the Vestry and Finance Committee. Winston is an avid musician who plays the drums and he is also a licensed pilot and enjoys flying, occasionally. Winston and his wife, Sarah, live in Richmond and have three children, Teddy, Kathryn, and August.

Ginny joined Davenport & Company in 2007 as a member of the Training and Sales Resource Team working on the internal and external Help Desk and helping new advisors transition to Davenport. In March 2009, she began working with Coley Wortham as a Registered Sales Assistant and, through several promotions, has progressed to a Managing Director and Financial Advisor.
Ginny graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University in 2007 with a BS in Business Administration. While at Washington and Lee, she was a member of the women’s tennis team where she was a three-time All American and captain of the 2007 National Championship team. Ginny is a past board member and past president of both the Richmond Tennis Association and the Junior Board of Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Coleman began working at Davenport & Company in 2011 as a member of the Training and Sales Resource Team. In 2012, he was one of the original members of Davenport’s inaugural Junior Broker program. After finishing the program, he transitioned into working as an Investment Associate with Coley Wortham and Ginny Wortham Kehlenbeck and has since progressed to a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor.
Coleman graduated from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a BA in History. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of Ramp Access Made Possible by Students (RAMPS), a non-profit organization that he started with two friends while in high school. In his spare time, Coleman enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting and playing basketball.
