As demonstrated by nearly four decades of industry experience, George has had a passion for investments and helping others throughout his career. Prior to joining Davenport & Company in 1990, he worked in several firms including Wheat First Securities (now Wells Fargo Advisors). He holds his Series 7, 63, 65, and 24 registrations and is licensed to offer long-term care, long-term disability and life insurance.

George graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Administration in 1981. He and his wife Lynn raised their two children in Newport News, and now enjoy their dog and many grandchildren. When not at work, George can either be found at work in his backyard or spending weekends with the family at the beach in Duck, North Carolina.

Alison focuses on helping individuals and families plan for a secure retirement. As the daughter of two entrepreneurs, Alison is passionate about working with small business owners and non-profit organizations to build financial road maps for both their current business needs and legacy planning.  Alison joined Davenport & Company in a sales support role in 2007 and transitioned to a Financial Advisor in 2011.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Alison earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and anthropology. She is Series 7 and 66 registered with FINRA. She is also licensed to offer life, long-term care and disability insurance and annuities.

Deeply committed to her community, Alison currently serves on the endowment committee of her church and on the Peake Childhood Center Board of Directors. She has also previously served terms as the treasurer for Peake Childhood Center, as a board member of the Early Childhood Music School in Williamsburg, and as a finance committee member of the Williamsburg Parents’ Co-operative Preschool. After 10 years of active service with the Junior League of Hampton Roads, including multiple terms on its Board of Directors, she is now a proud sustaining member. In her free time, Alison enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, and spending time with her husband Jake and their two children.

Ashley joined Davenport & Company in 2011. An integral member of the Askew Foley Wealth Management Group, she provides exceptional service and operational support and works with clients to help them with account and investment needs. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to the beach. A native of Williamsburg, she resides there today with her two young children.
