Pete helps clients develop wealth management strategies from protecting and increasing wealth and preparing for future college educations to refining retirement goals. He and long-time colleague Grayson Prillaman established the Milward-Prillaman Group in 2000 and, along with Charlie Welfare, joined Davenport in 2007. He began his securities career with J.C. Bradford & Co. in 1981; was promoted to branch manager in 1991; and named “Manager of the Year” in 1993 and 1995. He also served as senior advisory council and his branch was recognized as the No. 1 office, based on revenue, in the Roanoke market for several years.
Pete’s philanthropic nature has led him to serve as president of the Botetourt Jaycees and on the board of directors of the Taubman Museum of Art, Roanoke Valley Speech & Hearing Center, Roanoke Valley SPCA, and the Saint Francis of Assisi Service Dog Foundation. He and his wife Kathleen of 45 years enjoy their home on Bent Mountain, as well as spending time with their daughter Heather, son-in-law Erick, and granddaughter Bria.
