Information Security and Network Engineer

INFORMATION SECURITY AND NETWORK ENGINEER

OVERVIEW
Davenport is seeking a full-time Information Security and Network Engineer to join its Information Technology team.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Requires thorough technical, analytical and operational knowledge within all levels of the OSI reference model
  • Analyze network requirements and ensure that network is architected in a fault tolerant, scalable, and predictable fashion
  • Work cross group to develop requirements and testing from business owners/analysts/software developers
  • Develop relationships with other employees, people inside and outside the financial industry, and others in the Cybersecurity industry
  • Develop and document network architecture, security elements, and technical specifications;
  • Alternate with other resources on availability to support enterprise during off-hours
  • Respond to network security incidents and serve as a resource team leader or incident commander if necessary
  • Work with vendors to ensure architectural decisions meet the needs of the enterprise
  • Troubleshoot network issues as needed
  • Install/maintain network and information security equipment
  • Occasional travel to branches and data centers will be required
  • Create information security policy as needed, write/update/perform written standard procedures (WSPs)
  • Serve as an advisor on security topics to the Chief Technology Officer
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • 5-10 years of Network Engineering
  • 2-5 Years of Information Security/cybersecurity
  • Route/switch work
  • JuneOS and IOS experience
  • Creation of VLANs
  • IDS/IPS
  • SIEM
  • Network/computer investigations
  • VPNs/GRE tunnel creation/maintenance
  • Meraki or other wireless networks
  • Network load balancing (ACE, F5, or NLB)
  • Open source DNS server creation/maintenance
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks (ISO 27002/NIST/COBIT)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • BGP
  • Cisco CCIE
  • CISSP or CISM
  • Network Architecture
  • Financial or other highly regulated industry
  • Palo Alto PANos
  • SSO/SAML
